The self-help industry is a billion-dollar pageant of resplendent answers. It’s gurus, healers (experts of all stripes) promising transformation with a jig and a lapel mic.
Yet, the folks who best know the human situation are rarely on those stages. We’re talking about artists (who give form to felt experience) and journalists (who discern what’s real and what’s false, what’s worthwhile and what’s bullshit).
Quite Broken—a new studio and platform devoted to creative forms of self-help—roots itself in artful inquiry, not authority or cure.
Here artists and journalists make media and experiences to support care, growth, and change. We aim for blunt honesty, frank humor— maybe even some wisdom now and again.
While we make our materials with intention, we also know they’ll only come alive in real conversation and actual practice. Change is not a sip from a magic chalice. It’s the movement of ocean tides.
